Considering the price of the Hotel, it is a very good value. I stayed in Bangkok many times in more expensive hotels, which were run down, but this place is clean, modern and got a good location. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. great value. Easy to get out and about from. Close to Metro & skytrain. A bit tricky to find initially. No frills. Free internet in the lobby. more

I stayed at the Darjelling for two nights in mid-January and didn't encounter any of the problems noted in the previous review. The room was very clean and there were definitely no insects of any sort. The Internet and TV worked fine. My girlfriend loved the stylish furnishings in the room, which was small but had everything that was needed.... more

The Darjelling Hotel has some serious problems that need to be rectified before it can be considered a decent hotel up to the standards it intends to portray. The people who work there are nice but they apparently have not taken the necessary steps to deliver even the minimum standards that are expected of even an average bouitique hotel. Newer hotel, helpful staff, clean room (a few tiny ants, but no problem-we are from Hawaii, & used to crawly things)...hot water is not always the best, but sufficient, bathroom is nice. Sort of a hassle to get to from the airport, take a metered taxi...will be real easy when their skyrail is built (2012?)... Super convenient if you are... more

Darjelling hotel is located in a quiet road, just off Sukhumvit Soi 18. Ask the taxi driver to take the first right after entering Soi 18. This means that you hardly get any traffic noise, and you're not harassed by tuk-tuk or taxi drivers as you exit the hotel. It is a 5 minute walk to Asok BTS station and... more
