I have been stayed at Sivalai Place every time visited to Bangkok, Thailand. Situated in quite residential area of Bangkok old city. Easy access to all areas. Room is very clean and wide enough. Reasonable price for long stay and short stay. Very helpful staff members. I’m very happy to stay there for every visit.

Such a lovely atmosphere in this Hotel. Everybody truly have a heart in the right place and hard to say anything bad about the place. Maybe the surroundings is not so impressive, but what it lacks, the feeling of this place over does it. If you are looking for a place outside the city center, this is the place. Nice pool, tenniscourts and ok gym. The restaurant is awesome and prices so cheap. Will definitely go again and again.

I can't say enough good things about the Sivalai Place and it's owner and staff. From the moment I arrived in Bangkok, it felt like home away from home. The people are really nice and super helpful especially if you got dropped in a big city like Bangkok for the first time. Besides the food from the restaurant (Little Chef) is great! And always served with a smile. :) The Sivalai Place has done an amazing job from top to bottom. It is really special if you consider the fact that you can have a beautiful premise in a beautiful location and still set yourself miles apart with an amazing staff and wonderful service. The rooms are comfortable and well designed, all including A/C and comfortable showers. In my opinion the best part of the Sivalai Place is the rooftop terrace. Almost every night I go up there to meet with some friends, or just enjoy the amazing view of the skyline by myself. Thank you Sivalai Place for an amazing stay. I will definitely visit you again when I come back to Bangkok one day.

I lived in Sivalai Place for six months during my exchange semester and I loved it! I had the best time of my life there :) The hotel/residence is very clean, the staff is just like family and the amenities are spectacular! The swimming pool is very large and the area surrounding it is very quiet and pleasant. There are also tennis courts as well as fitness rooms, among other very useful rooms. There is also a restaurant with really affordable and delicious food (both Thai and Western)! I really miss it already! Both the owners and workers are really nice and they smile all the time, making your experience much better!

So, from the start... the staff is AMAZING!!!! They were so nice and helpful! I probably spent an hour in the office with them writing on my map where to go, teaching me Thai phrases and words, and getting to know me. Who does that?! They DO! Plus, they hailed taxis and even booked a fabulous dinner cruise for us! And it made our trip so much better. Then there is the property itself. The rooms are HUGE! And very clean. The pool is large and uses ozone technology to clean it so no burning eyes from chlorine. They have a really nice rooftop seating area, too. We were able to get a beautiful view of the New Year's firework show from there. It's also super safe. I travelled with my two young kids, so that was a concern for me, but they have a security person out front, keyed entry on each floor, and also each room in the apartment is keyed with a peephole! I'm going back and I'm staying here! And I'm telling everyone to stay here too! Don't bother looking around. Just book this place and I promise you won't regret it!!!!

I'm a freelance editor and spent 10 days totally enjoyable days in Bangkok feeling very much at home at this ultra-quiet hotel-residence on the West Bank in old Bangkok. The staff were super friendly and helpful - I can't say enough nice things about them, My room was huge with good air-conditioning, wi-fi, couch, bed, bath, and kitchenette with full refrigerator so that I could work in total comfort and peace. When work was finished I could go downstairs to swim in the wonderful pool, or watch people play tennis while having a beer. Sivalai Place is in a totally authentic, non-touristy neighborhood -- a real oasis from an otherwise crowded, over-built city. One special delight was watching the monks go by the hotel on their alms tour at dawn each morning, another was smelling the night air perfumed by frangipane and other flowers. When I felt like being a tourist, I took a lovely 30-minute stroll through the neighborhood and along a khlong to get to the pier next to the Arun Wat temple (one of the most beautiful) and a fun, cheap (15 baht) ride up or down the river to the East Bank tourist sites or Skytrain connection. Taxis were also easy to get and cheap enough for more distant trips. I recommend staying on a high floor if possible, facing Arun Wat and the city for a good view and to avoid the sound of tennis balls on the court side of the building. In a city with tons of cheap places to stay, this hotel offers excellent value for money -- it's a real oasis of comfort, kindness and authenticity that I highly recommend.

This year, May - Juni we've hired, directly by the hotel, an appartment for 3 for a whole month. 5 years ago we've stayed already in the hotel for a period. We got 2 sleepingrooms and a living for an affordable price. In that month we went to Phnom Penh, Luang Prabang and Songklae for a visit. Well I can tell you each time when we came back at Sivalai Place it was indeed "like returning home". The feelings you get when the boss (and her daughter) ask you how our trip was, or can we do something for you, or what you gone do today are sincerly and honest. Once I've told the manager she felt like my mother, concerning about the 3 of us. You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner which was very good and not so expensive, honestly priced. There is a very big swimmingpool, fitness room, tennis court and a magnific view of Bangkok on top of the hotel. We've enjoyed every minute of our stay and looking forward to come again. Also the staff at the inside parking are really trying to do everything to help you. And the employees at the office doing their full best in helping you. We miss it since our arrival home.

Great team and facilities. Delivers far more value than you pay for. Great pool. Good tennis courts with one of the courts in the shade for most of the day( helps with the heat that is typical in Bangkok.Special mention goes out to the tennis community(staff and other regulars) that embraced me even I didn't speak a a word of Thai. Rooms are SPACIOUS and fully air-conditioned with cooking facilities if you so require it. Good in house restaurant and laundry. If there is a single negative it will be the location but it is what it is ...suburban Bangkok. Some taxi drivers may find it a bit difficult to find, but this is as a result of the GPS recommended route not providing the shortest route off Soi Isaraphab 33 With the imminent arrival of the MRT on their doorsteps enjoy this hidden gem while it lasts. A true home away from home.
