Found the Panee Lodge after an awful night in a noisy hostel on koh sain rd. Location was ideal, good room and a quiet nights rest. Staff were friendly and helpful and room was available at a reasonable rate compared to others around. True, the Panee does not offer a swimming pool, but it does offer inexpensive internet; great location (near Khao San Rd. , Grand Palace, river ferries); a wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff (say hello to Nan and Lin); peaceful sitting spaces; great coffee and bakery goods; welcomed bits of quiet. We arrived on Kho San rd at 6am and were desperate to find a place. After looking at many rooms we found Panee Lodge. We walked in and the hotel was lovely. This is the first place we walked into when arriving in Khao San Rd area close to 2 am. It is adorable and inviting.
