E 72 is within easy walking distance from the BTS sky train, (im 46 and relatvly fit) you probly wouldnt want to do the walk if you where 80 yo. Acctually there are no lifts at this place, so if you are 80 give it a miss. But apart from that, it had free internet to use down stairs (my... More

Cute rooms and decent location, but don't be fooled. The management and staff hold their guests in the lowest regard. The hotel's restaurant, which is directly beneath the guest rooms, blasts loud music until 1am. The staff speak little to no English and are oblivious to guests' requests. The owners are idle rich Thais who opened the hotel as a... More

I chose 72 Ekamai for its retro design and alleged relaxed ambiance. Having been here 24 hours I am still yet to be able to relax. In bullet point form, here are my grievances: *On arrival, no one offered to carry my bags to the room, yet alone show me around. *None of the staff speak English. *The wireless wasn't... More

Very nice small retro hotel in Ekamai. Clean and simple rooms. 5 min walk to Healthland - reasonably priced spa for great massages. 5 min walk to the skytrain and right next to the skytrain one of the best local restaurants we went to. Fantastic food at the hotel too.

The word Deco . Yes I said the word Deco. You may well ask, " What bearing does it have on this hotel" i asked the same question on arrival. Our taxi went around and around before finding this hotel." Fawlty Towers" comes to mind. We were shown our room as our cases were brought up 2 flights of stairs.... More

Should anyone have aspirations of opening a boutique hotel, please do not model it on 72 Ekamai. The next question is, if you wish to start a boutique hotel in Bangkok, please do not even consider to hire the staff from 72 Ekamai. The website will show you bright rooms and funky interiors which at a glance you will imagine... More
