When traveling to Bangkok for vacation, its a must for me to stay next to the river. My two favorite hotels are The Peninsula and The Mandarin Oriental. Both are amongst the best hotels on the planet. Peninsulas advantage is that the rooms are slightly bigger, that the SPA and fitness room is in the hotel itself (across the river... More

Awesome property that never fails to deliver the a game. Staff helpful beyond exepectations, food first class. Rooms of the exacting peninsula standard. Hong pen offers more history but this one has all the rest of the great peninsula levels of service in abundance. More

Stayed for 4 days/3nights in a grand deluxe room. Got one on the 32nd floor. Requested for the Rolls Royce transfer from Suvarnabhumi to the hotel. Chauffeur very attentive. Cold towels and water available in the car. Loved the in-room check in service and jasmine garland they gave us upon arrival at the hotel. Great amenities such as double sinks,... More

Spent three nights here. Fab hotel and great staff. Rooms a little dated but very comfortable. Only issue is you are on wrong side of river but hotel provides shuttles on river. More

Stayed here last weekend. Our room was a corner deluxe on the 9th floor with a great view of the river. It was spacious, nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and good quality bedding, a huge bathroom with his and hers sinks, a TV to watch whilst in the bath and the telephone system allows you to pick up a... Stayed here for 6 nights in Jan/Feb 2012, very nice hotel, nice friendly personnel, excellent breakfast, a bit pricy, nice evening buffet with an enormous selection, travelled with our 7 month year old daughter, guys running the boats over the Chao Praya, super friendly at all times helping out carrying etc. Got a good rate, however misunderstanding between Front desk...
