We stayed on the 45th floor of the hotel and loved the fantastic views. After moving from another hotel in Bangkok (for the same price) the Banyan tree was much much better. the room was very modern- however the bathroom was less modern- but really not that bad. ( and i am SUPER picky) If you book the hotel without... more

Nice spa, good breakfast-buffet,room was fine but needs a little fixing here and there (strange noise from the plumming in the shower, door to the room did'nt close properly without yanking it a few times)...Staff was very friendly and the view from the restaurant on the 61st floor,Vertigo,is spectaculair, the food is good too. For service it's worth 5 stars, overall i would say... more

The hotel was booked as the final stop in a 17-day trip to Thailand, where I expected the full trimmings of a 5-star hotel. At best I would class this as a 4-star. The outstanding Vertigo bar is no reason to push it into the 5-star ranks but an absolute must whether you are staying at the hotel or not.... more

Buffet breakfast in Romsai highly reccomended. so much variety each morning and lovely fresh ingredients Check-in seamless enough. Room (premier suite) was abit of a let down. The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom totally inadequate. the bathroom finished in a drab dull grey marble that made it seem very small and dark. Pretty pool on 21st floor is fine... more

1. The bed is way too hard for a nice hotel. 2. Our room #4003 sink, bathtub and shower were all in bad shape. 3. $20 a day for internet is a bit much 4. Vertigo is one of the coolest restaurant in the world. 5. The Japanese restaurant is very good as well ask to be seated in the... more

The Banyan Tree is extraordinary and I cannot praise it enough. We got a 30% discount by booking with the hotel direct 30 days in advance (the early bird special). We stayed in a suite for one night (cost around £150 but well worth it). Welcome was amazing, flowers and a welcome drink. Smooth, slick service. Traditional live music and... more

Rooms are large, but a bit tired. The lobby is stylish and inviting. The bathrooms in the rooms need a total renovation. We were on a non-smoking floor and when we were shown to our room the lady in the room next to us was standing in her doorway smoking. We had a cocktail the bar on top of the... more

stayed at the Banyan tree in December for two nights. the hotel interior looks out of date and shabby. rooms are small but clean, but interior is in a bad shape, and the carpet is smelly. service is ok, but not more than that. also the location is far from the shopping malls. there are better alternatives, such as the... more

I stayed for two nights at the Club Suite. The room itself was very well decorated and fixings were of a great standard. However, the hotel service was awful. The hotel failed to deliver on many occasions such as room service and a few other essential promises. One that stuck from the rest was our view.... we were facing a... more

Stayed in Banyan Tree Deluxe Suite for 2 nights, if I look at the $ i m paying, certainly not worth value.
