Stayed at the Royal River Feb 2007 for a couple of nights on our way down to Krabi. Although a little out of the way its was well worth the taxi ride, the room was clean and spacious, staff friendly, breakfast was great, would certainly recommend and would stay again next time we visit Bangkok more

Good hotel, we stayed for 4 nights..the breakfast is FANTASTIC, well worth it@! Loved going on the river boat to chinatown, easy way to get there. Yes the hotel is out of the way, but depends what people want personally? You want a hotel in the middle of loud and extremely polluted Bangkok CBD??? Then so be it. Restaurants nearby... more

My wife and I were on tour of Thailand and only stayed 2 days at that hotel. Very nice hotel and rooms. Very clean. Very good breakfast buffet. This hotel is very pretty but staff is very rigid in lots of things...the internet cafe has no printer and they would not print out my boarding pass for me. They would not let me take my coffee cup from breakfast back to my room. They do not speak English well at all..but hey, just be honest. I would not... more

Had to make a same day reservation due to bad weather elsewhere, before flying in to Bangkok. Chose the 3-bedroom suite on their website to insure that we had three rooms on the same floor. This hotel is on the bank of Chao Pra Ya river ,the room condition is ok but not so great .No durien allowed .
