This hotel is an ok stop over if you are traveling by train, as it is located near the train station. However, to see other highlights of Bangkok, I would not recommend this hotel. Chinatown is nice to visit, but it is quite a distance to other must-sees. The rooms are not bad, allthough I hate the plastic matrass covers.... more

Not bad at all. After a long flight, a good night's rest is what we needed as well as something that was close to the Hua lamphong train station. This was perfect. To be fair to the hotel, the rooms in the NEW wing were pretty good -clean, decent size. Staff were friendly. It was NOT like what some previous guests posted the ghastly photos - apparently, that was the OLD wing! Good value for the price paid. After reading a few negative reviews on here, Bangkok Centre came as a surprise. Definitely not a top notch business hotel but a fair value for money. I found my room on the 8th floor to be fine...neat and clean, fresh towels daily, soap and shampoo provided. Free bottled water and coffee everday in the room. Buffet breakfast was good... more

We stayed there two weeks ago. In typical chinese style the lobby was very impressive and the rooms absolutely disgusting. We paid 1500B (approx. 50aud and this was about $30 too much) for a double room.
