I have recently stayed at the Silom City Hotel with three other friends. It is a friendly, clean and cost effect accomodation. The location at first was not pleasing to the eye, but then I realised that the hotel is situated next to the best authentic Thai food. I highly recommend Suzci's resturant which is two minutes away. Easy links... more
Stayed here for two weeks. Hotel is tucked away between the busy streets of Silom Rd and Surawong Rd. Don't judge it by the soi that runs out front. This hotel is not for someone looking for a resort, but rather someone who appreciates the local culture. Within walking distance of lots of sights and within reach of almost everything... more
Be careful when you make the reservations, as a 'standard room' doesn't necessarily mean it will be a twin room. We booked one standard room and one deluxe room for 4 people and specifically requested it to be twin rooms. When we arrived we were told the only standard rooms available was a double bed, and we were forced to... more
I like this Hotel. It has been renovated and they have done a pretty good job. As far as value for money goes this was very good. I think I paid around $38 a night and I stayed 4 nights. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is comfortable. Everything was neat and tidy and the bathroom, while being... more
The one great thing about Silom City Hotel was the location. It is close to many great places, so you will never get bored. The room was just OK, it was pretty clean. The bed was gigantic (another great thing about the hotel:P) The staff was pretty friendly, especially the bell men. The breakfast was OK. Not much to choose... more
We stayed here for 3 nights, our initial impressions pulling up to the hotel were not so good...it is down a dodgy looking street next to a meat market which really smelled, and being a vegetarian, was not too nice! The actual hotel looks quite nice, a little out of place in its surroundings but I guess that explains the... more
Although the hotel is located very centrally for most attractions it is a little hidden on a small street. However if you print out a Google map and show it to the driver he should have no problem getting there. The hotel is very nice on the budget scale. Ours was very small but adequate for our 3 day stay.... more
I had the pleasure of staying at the Silom City Hotel (apparently used to be called Silom City Inn) for 4 nights during a recent trip through SE Asia. It was a great, unexpected find. I had a great suite on the 11th floor with a refrigerator, sink, super-king (I think it was the width of 2 full-size beds) and... more
I thought this was a brilliant hotel which definitely provided value for money. I stayed for three weeks and found the rooms spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable. When I and my partner arrived at the hotel, we where a couple of hours earlier than the stated check-in time, however they made up our room immediately which we where brought... more
