We normally stay in the Sofitel Silom hotel- our favourite hotel but couldn't afford it on this longer trip so we picked this little one nearby. We weren't expecting much because the price was so good. We got a top floor suite for about 50USD (on the 12th upper floor - as 13 is an unlucky number). Although the hotel... more

This hotel is ok for a short time stay...but a little bit overpriced. The rooms are not so clean and in our room the light didn´t work sometimes so at some times we did´t have any lights. In the night, that´s ok but not in the eavning. The breakfast was not so good and the staff a little bit unpleased.... more

We thought we had our room booked here for one night but when we arrived it wasn't and they had none available!! They let us use their internet to search for elsewhere and rang around for us. In the meantime a room became available. One of the most expeinive suites on the top floor. AND... they gave us a discount!... more

The reason we chose Silom City Inn was because we had to check out of god awful Eastin Hotel and there was no other hotel available. The best part about this hotel is the location. It is located on Silom road which has the night market etc. It is a 15 minute walk to the nearest monorail station also. Given... more

What can one say about the Silom City Inn, Bangkok? Strange little hotel, tucked down some side street, you have to walk past a butchers market to get to the accommodation. Did not appreciate the sight of spilled entrails and blood in the gutters and most of all the smell!! The hotel is ok. Staff are friendly, though did not... more

The hotel is pretty close to the city centre but the room is dingy and dirty. The facilities in the room were old and the awful thing was the small ants crawling on the walls and bedsheets. My friend and I were so afraid that the ants would go into our ears or nostrils. It is most probably because there... more

This is easily one of the best hotel deals in the heart of Bangkok. The location on Silom Road is superb, a steal at around $40 per night. Rooms are relatively new and clean. Staff, while not completely fluent in English, are super-friendly and eager to help. Thai food at the coffeeshop is authentic and excellent, but western food is... more

A great thing about this hotel is it's location. It's a five or ten minute walk to the scene (good and bad) on Silom Road, which makes it close enough to hoof it around and far enough to avoid the constant hassles of street vendors when you leave the hotel. (I've stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, which is too far... more
