The hotel is in a great location & has 'great bones'. However it has gone to seed. But the price reflects that it isn't what it once was or could be, so all is well. A touch of faded grandeur and not exactly 5*, but quite acceptable and in a great location to visit the old city. Also tremendous value for money. Service is bad. Outside the hotel there are many taxi and tuk-tuk drivers trying to rip you off and when you ask the hotel staff to help you out they refuse. We would've stayed near the sky train (close to Siam Square) if we would've known something about Bangkok beforehand. Still a decent hotel and pretty good value for your money. Tourist attractions were near. Lobby taxi drivers were annoying, but I guess they are in every hotel in Bangkok. more

This hotel is good location to visit "Grand Palais" & Wat Phra & Wat Pho. Near Khao san road... At 2 minutes at walk. The room is standard, with bathroom. Try to choose the rooms with view pool, because side road, sometimes it's noisy. Good & cheap if you stay 4-5 days. more
