Room was lovely and clean. I will forever be grateful for the The air-con in the room. The shower was divine - good pressure etc. I stayed here 1 night, then toured around Thailand and stayed another 2 nights here before I left Thailand. The first room I had had a very low ceiling in the bathroom, I had to... more

Me and my fiance have just returned from southeast asia after visiting bangkok, koh samui, KL and singapore (i will also write reviews on these hotels). The viengtai was probably the best city hotel we stayed in, definately by far the most upmarket hotel in the area aswell after walking past the others!! it had a lovely, large cool reception... more

The room I had was nice but the hotel booked me a taxi on two occassion and I ended up paying three times the cost if I had went and done it myself. I thought the hotel would aid its guests to get best prices but no. I also had to get internet credit and I was told they didnt... more

Arrived at this hotel with my daughter. Even when I was in the taxi I knew that I was in the wrong area as the road the hotel is on becomes a night club at night and a night market and I arrived late in the evening. Perhaps if you were a teenager or had come for spring break or... more

My room was, in one word, icky and it smelled like old carpet. The whole hotel is old and in desperate need of an update and a good scrub down. My shower curtain was filthy and I had to call to get them to change it because I couldn't stand it. My toilet was always on the verge of overflowing... more

Room was pretty big and clean and tidy. Bathroom had very low ceiling, I am just under 6" and I couldn't wash my hair without hitting the ciling. Only one street away from khaosan road, was nice and close to all the action. My room was facing the street, was quiet enough in the room to get a decent night... more

Great hotel with fantastic location on Koh San road. Basic but clean. Was one of the only hotels that i could find that catered for 3 people sharing. Our room was HUGE! So much space it was great! Had a small pool which was fine. Reception and buffet good. Perfect hotel to stay in whilst visiting Bangkok, i would certinaly... more

This a budget star hotel....no doubt about it....The Bathrooms are basic and serves the purpose..The reception is friendly and fast. The breakfast buffet was good. The best thing about this hotel for an Indian/Vegetarian like me is that there was an indie restaurant right opp.....took care of my dinners...Location is good....and easy to get around...the swimming pool was tiny...don't look out... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after arriving in Thailand. The room was spacious and clean, bathroom good and modern. There's a nice pool which is in the shade, but very nice in the hustle and bustle of Banglamphu. Just one block from Khao San Road, breakfast was included, staff was friendly and helpfull. more

My girlfriend, our good friend and me had a very pleasent stay at the Viengtai Hotel! We started in Bangkok and stayed 3 nights in this hotel. After some traveling, we decided to go back because it has a great location! The first part of our stay we slept in a double+single bed room, wich was better than the 3... more
