Stayed at the Malaysia Hotel for 7 nights. Rooms are basic but very clean and well maintained - excellent value for money. Reception staff were awesome - very friendly, always smiling and helpful. The coffeshop/restaurant serves authentic Thai food at very cheap prices - and it's not toned-down for Western palates! Pool was small and a bit shabby but when... more

This way my first trip to Thailand & I was recommened this hotel by a friend. I was not disappointed. The rooms were large with one double bed & one single. The rooms were basic but that's all I wanted. The staff were very friendly & didn't mind if I bought someone back to my room. I liked it when... more

It 's not a hotel at all, but terrible guest-house! Rooms are dirty, furniture is too old, bathroom is terrible! Never recommend this "hotel" more

I have stayed in Malaysia Hotel since 2000 for at least 10 times and mentioning Bangkok brings both memories of Malaysia Hotel and everything good about Bangkok to mind for me. Since this is a review about Malaysia Hotel, can I just say that if you are looking for a basic accomodation at a well situated locality. This hotel suites... more

Open since the mid-1960s, the Malyasia Hotel has steadily improved over the years and now boasts two stars. This hotel has always had a reputation for being gay-friendly and it is therefore not unusual to encounter young Thais seeking companions on the outside terrace! However, this should not deter straight travellers. All are welcome and in recent times there has... more

The rooms are very simple but clean. super convenience as only 5 minutes away from the city centre by taxi. the best thing about this hotel is that they do have a 24 hrs restaurant / room service which is very very rare in a 2 stars hotel. The only set back is that they do not have safe deposit... more

The nicest thing about the hotel was the friendly staff. I feel they realy look out for you. Several times when I came off the elevator I was stopped by the front desk for no reason other than to say hello. They've done a good job in keeping up with the remodeling as well. The maid staff was also quite... more

this is a good hotel at a very practical price in a good location. stayed for 3 nights- the staff are all helpful and accommodating- from reception to maids and food servers. the massage center is also very good - the pool is a bit small though but for the price and cleanliness- its highly recommended more

There's no decoration, beautiful lights nor beautiful sights. But what I am truely satisfied is the room rate that fits for a budget traveller. All the basics ~ small fridge, tv, heater, bed, table, chair.... all in good condition. The hotel provide water in a glass bottle. It taste a little different but still drinkable. There's a massage centre attached... more
