Simply fabulous. Perfect place to relax for a few days and have a break from cheap backpacker places. A taxi to the centre is only 150B anyway. It's not the way to experience Bangkok and all it's nightlife, but it's great for unwinding and a bit of luxury. I concur with the review that said its more a 4star hotel... more

The Bansabai is tucked away down sidestreet in northern Bangkok, but it's close to universities, shopping malls and suprmarkets in the quieter, cleaner suburbs where foreigners are thankfully rare. Been to Bkk last december. Checked in to Bansabai. The rooms are not what you expect from a hostel. This is a great Hotel. Great rooms.. especially the deluxe rooms on the top floor of the first building. But the cheaper standard rooms are great to..all have own air conditioning. Service is great...food is superb.
