The Royal Asia Lodge is not the most upmarket of Hotel's but for it's location and it's free Tuk Tuk service, I was very impressed. I have stayed in this Hotel twice and at the time it was run by a Sikh family and the staff were a little on the rude side but nothing to get too upset over.... more

I arrived at night. Taxi driver wouldn't go down to the end of the soi, said it was unsafe. I had to walk. Web info says it's 'close to everything.' It is if you consider third-world construction sites, including in the lobby of the building I was in, you have to step around piles of dirt. Close to night shopping,... more

From back then, after we have read this comment, we did not ignore this happening. We do our adjustment with the problem and find out " how's the problem happen" By the way, Royal Asia Lodge in Sukhumvit Soi 8 is very easy for reaching this area well known, and also in Soi 8 is no many hotels eventhough location...

I was there for abotuo 1 week, had a junior suite and was, over all, quite fine with it. It happened to me that the laundry service ruined 2 brand new t-shirts, the deal with the hotel manager was so so.. but we could arrange a deal. Manager is a young guy, i would say Thai/chinese, but nice and clever,... more

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was at the end of a very quiet soi with a free shuttle tuk-tuk and very close to Nana station. For the price I thought it was excellent, ok, getting older, but it was clean, the beds were good, shower was great air-con worked well. Tea and coffee making facilities, safety deposit in... more

This comment mentioned about hotel is getting older. Eventhough this hotel is stable for well maintenance, look very clean, and also the room was touch up with properly schedule. It's not modern, but still not out of date. Regards,

I have stayed at the Royal Asia a number of times and I can say unequivocally that the place is a flat out dump. The rooms smell, the service is poor, the air conditioners are terrible (you either freeze or roast,) and the rooms are VERY WORN and unattractive. You might ask why I even stayed there. Well, here's why.... more

This hotel has 9 floors, 2 floors was allocated for non smoking, the rest should be smell in some rooms. By the way, we schedule of room cleaning better than few months ago, the atmosphere was improved. Bythe way, this area is surrounding with many big trees along with both sidewalk, and this situation is abandon from sky building around...

The hotel is very far from the main road however it was very quite in the evenings. The hotel facilities were in serious decline and not worth the effort. I was very disappointed that the hot water stopped working on the second to last day and the reception didnt really care. The reception provided reasonable information and travel advice but... more

1.Very far from main road. - hotel tuk tuk was arranged 24 hours now. 2.Very quiet in evening. - because this building is 400 meters from main road, by the way - no 1 can solve. 3.Anybody likes No.2 for privacy resting. 4.Hot water problem is from technical condition was maintained as schedule, if could not fix or take a...

Spent 4 nights there in May (and booked to go back in December). Rooms are old and smell a bit odd at first, but generally clean. Bed was comfortable. There's a light switch in the bathroom that turns itself off after a few mins which caught me out a couple of times. Was at the end of a long soi,... more

Found the Royal Asia when walking down Soi 8; it is a small family run hotel with a red tuk tuk that offers free service up and down the Soi 24 hours a day. Rooms are clean and the staff friendly and accommodating. Virtually no car parking. Owners are Thai/Indian and extremely friendly to guests. Owners even took a group... more

First of all we booked this hotel months in advance. When we arrived they didn't have our reservation. We had to jump into a cab and look for other accomodation. Another friend booked there as well and they also had no record of their reservation. I think that because we arrived so late at night they simply gave our rooms... more
