Hotel is only 6 rooms but the rooms are great.....every room has a view of the Wat Arun temple across the river and the rooms are all teak wood many in a studio style. Bathrooms are well fitted and the bedroom area has TV. (you canborrow DVDs from reception). We stayed in the Leelevedee room which was as above with... more

Sadly, we only got to stay one night. We'd loved to have stayed longer. For arrival, even with directions (in Thai) from their website, taxi had hard time finding it. Driver called their mobile number and they walked up the soi (sidestreet) to get us since we were just across the main road from them. Staff was very friendly and... more

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The reception was very good and the rooms although small actually had everything you could think of which really surprised me. Towels and the bed linen of the best quality and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed very much having breakfast in the mornings and being able to... more

I was a little worried giving up the credit card details up front but I was following the Lonely Planet recommendation like others so I did it. The Lonely Planet has been wrong in the past so I was a little worried and if they were wrong again I was not going to take their recommendations seriously again... We arrived... more

My copy of "Lonely Planet, Guide to Thailand" has the Arun Residence highlighted as ‘our pick’ for places to stay in Bangkok. Therefore based on that and a recommendation from friends who had stayed there in December 2008, my partner and I booked to stay in this intimate Sino-Portuguese style boutique hotel on the bank of the Chaopraya River for... more

First off, I need to point out that I am a professional travel writer/photographer. And although I barely took a shot during my two day stay at the Arun Residence, I was still very impressed with how photogenic the property was. I've had the opportunity to stay in a dozen or so very sweet hotels in Bangkok and elsewhere in... more

This hotel has an amazing view of Wat Arun. My boyfriend and I stayed in the Jasmine room and loved it! The room was very nice, clean, comfortable(AC good), and tastefully decorated. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We only stayed our last night in Bangkok, but would have much prefered staying there over the Shangri-La down... more

OK, so the title of this review doesn't say much - it was a silly little saying that my boyfriend continuiously said in Bangkok as we were seeing the different Wats - and plus Arun Residence is directly across Wat Arun. Ok - so on to the review. After having read a couple of reviews below i am very saddened... more

Charming boutique hotel, very few rooms so book well in advance. Comfortable, friendly and homely, great location in the city centre, near Wat Pho and its fabulous massage school, great food too and very nice terrraces overlooking the river. We were travelling with small children so if you are in the same case be careful not to take one of... more
