A hidden gem close enough to walk along the canal, over the bridge and around the corner and all the chaos and amenities of Khao San Road but with the peace and quiet of not being on a busy road and the hassle on your doorstep. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and the staff friendly. We left our 2... more

This is going to be short and sweet -- the hotel is pretty enough, it was made to look like an oasis amidst the ugly surroundings. The lobby, pool area, restaurant and the floor landings all bear that unique Thai look and feel. However, the room is a bit small and while there was cable TV, Discovery Channel was playing... more

Lamphu Tree House is a nice hotel located within walking distance of many attractions such as Kao San road and Grand Palace. As others mentioned, the taxi driver had trouble finding the place but after a few conversations with some tuk-tuks, he finally found it. The hotel was just what we expected considering the price we paid...clean, friendly and comfortable.... more

We stayed here for 4 nights and chose the lamphu tree based on all the reviews on tripadvisor. It is true: this is a good place to stay. Breakfast is very good, location is good (most importants sights and the ferry within walking distance) and the room had a good layout, very usefull for travelers. No frills, just good. The... more

We stayed here for one night when we arrived in Bangkok before heading South. The staff are really friendly & helpful and the room we stayed in was lovely. Breakfast was very basic but nice. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay within walking distance to all the main attractions but away from the hustle... more

After reading reviews and not being able to stay there on our first visit to Bangkok since it was fully booked, i was expecting this place to be the nuts. Instead, i was left uninspired by the place. Sure, its close (ish) to the Khao San road, the hotel is nicely set out, breakfast was decent, pool and rooftop terrace... more

I am writing this review from the Lamphu Tree hotel, using the free wifi, which I have found to be great - my partner has a slightly older laptop though and has reported trouble connecting at times. We've found the location excellent and it's nice being just a little off the main road, but also quite central. Rooms are on... more

The staff greeted us with tea. The location was a little difficult to find, but worth being off the beaten path. The AC worked great. The internet was ample with skype availability, but you did have to pay for the time used. The staff was very friendly and honest, gave great tips for the weekend market and wrote out directions... more

It was only a one-night stay but the hotel and the staff were great, as written before. One thing to note: the hotel is not actually accessible by car. We hadn't realize this before we went, and the taxi driver ended up looking up and down the street for the hotel. There's a little sign for the hotel after the... more
