Elliebum is a two-room B&B hosted by Gade, a marvelous hostess. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable bed and private bath. Decor is Thai-modern with a cafe on the ground floor and gift shop next door. Best breakfast in town with excellent coffee and pancakes. Gade answers all of your questions and can point you the best food, drivers and... more

Gade, the owner has to be the friendliest, funniest, most knowledgable host I have ever met. she went out of her way to make me feel at home and relaxed in Elliebum. her local knowledge is second to none and the food is to die for. Gade serves up a good combination of traditional Thai food aswell as good old... more

For travellers looking to move beyond the drunken mayhem of the usual backpacker grind, Elliebum offers unique style and class in the heart of the old city. Rooms are a beautiful mix of classic and modern Thai elegance. Air con, free wifi, cable TV, friendly staff - all walking distance from markets and temples. Highly recommend! more

Elliebum is conveniently located in the centre of Chiang Mai. Footsteps away from the Sunday Walking Street market, Wat Phra Sing and one of the best restaurants we ate at in Chiang Mai. Speaking of food, if you're not in a mood for looking for a restaurant, dine at Elliebum and you will certainly not be disappointed! The best of... more

I stayed in Elliebum Guesthouse in October 2009. I chose Chiang Mai as the start of my two month cycling tour through Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. From the moment of my arrival I felt at home in Elliebum Guesthouse. Gade (the owner) was extremely helpful in planning my trip and proposed to make some very worthwhile changes. Ad up the... more

We were staying at the Elliebum for 4 days in October 09 and would definitely stay there again when coming to Chiang Mai! It is a lovely place located downtown Chiang Mai, only a short walk away from temples, restaurants, shops, massage studios etc. The Elliebum is a combination of a nice handicraft shop, a cosy coffee shop and a... more

Well, I guess I said it all in that long title of mine. This place is perfect. The only problem is they only have 2 rooms so best to book early and get a spot. Pancakes are awesome and big, the french toast is great too. Make sure to pick Gade the owner's brain about eating out, going out, etc.... more

I really can't fault Elliebum - it's a lovely place to stay. Gade, the owner, is what really makes Elliebum special. As other people has said, she really does go over and above what you'd expect someone to do when you're staying in their guesthouse. It's like staying with a friend. Gade has all the info you'll need for your... more
