I stayed at Ban Kong Rao for three months (studying massage at ITM). It really was home away from home. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Good shower. The roof terrace is a perfect place to sit and relax, watch the sunset, or to study. Good Wifi and airco. They serve very good food at the restaurant, and around... More

We stayed here for 3 weeks on business. We had room 2 for the most part. The staff was so friendly, both Yin and Yin were always eager to help. They kept the place clean and stocked. There is a nice courtyard area with a covered awning if the sun was bearing down. The rooftop had space to do yoga... More

I stayed at 3 different hotels (in different cities) on my trip and this was by far the nicest. It is very well-kept and super-clean. They have a restaurant (that will even deliver food to your room) with reasonanable prices. A/C is great, plenty of hot water in the spacious shower, cable TV, comfy beds, bottled water provided daily. Check... More

I was most impressed by this effortlessly stylish accommodation and how comfortable it made me feel. I stayed in the Climbing Lily room which featured bare concrete fixtures in the bathroom and darkened wooden furniture in the bedroom. It felt incredibly simple and rustic without the tackiness that befalls a lot of the guesthouses and hotels that try too hard... More

I spent 2 weeks at Bang Kong Rao while attending ITM school. I stayed in Room 16 which is on the top floor. The room was spacious with lots of light thanks to the large window over the balcony. The view from the balcony was amazing (especially in the early morning) - straight up to Doi Suthep on the hill.... More

I made friends for life while staying at this hotel. Traveling alone, I was grateful for welcoming, relaxed and intimate environment that allows for guests to mingle and meet easily. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What was intended to be a 1 week stay turned into a 1 MONTH stay because I was so comfortable and enjoying the... More

We stayed in the guest house for 5 nights over the new year period - Aung and Al are fantastic hosts and really made us feel welcome - it really felt like 'our home'! The rooms are tastefully decorated with original artwork, and are comfortable. The guest house is situated within easy reach of the city centre, but without the... More

Stayed here for 5 days over new year. It's like a boutique hotel unlike anything I have stayed in before, where the owners really do try and make you feel like they are welcoming you into their home. Beautifully designed with a great balance between modern and traditional Thai this is a real gem in the bustling suburbs of Chiangmai... More

It's been a long time since I returned from my 7-day stay in Chiang Mai, can still remember the days when I left the hotel in a scooter and returned with a scooter...anyway, love Chiang Mai very much and Ban Kong Rao certainly adds points to the whole stay. It's located outside of the old city center and is about... More

This is a nice mid-range hotel with comfortable beds/linens and good design. The bathroom was great with a shower separate from the rest of the bathroom (sometimes a nice change when traveling through Asia). There is a great little sitting area on the roof top with nice views of the mountains (Doi Supthet) where we enjoyed beers in the afternoon.... More
