I had no hotel booking upon arriving in Chiang Mai and the Amari grabbed my attention with its nice pool. After a while of negotiating, I managed to get a pretty decent deal for a deluxe room so I ended up staying here for 4 nights. Let me start off with the positives: the pool is good (nothing spectacular, though)... more

Not sure how it compares with others in Chiang Mai, but it is showing it's age in every direction. Pluses: Everything is very clean and orderly. Service is very good, excellent even. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Location is good with plenty to walk to and the downtown is just a quick, cheap tuk tuk away. Minuses: Internet charges--a huge pet... more

Good value hotel. Good service. Standard rooms are little bit small, and I hate hotels with carpet in tropical countries! A little bit ot of town, but really convinient for Chiang Mai University contacts more

I booked this hotel for a 3 night stay on their website after checking reviews here. I was originally allocated a terrible room overlooking the main road & building works. After a few minutes complaining to the front desk I was allocated a much better room. The staff at this hotel appear to be poorly trained in hospitality. The front... more

This hotel is incredibly good value. There was an offer on and we were able to book 4 deluxe rooms for under £30 each as we were staying for five days. The rooms are excellent - clean, spacious, and with a great view over the gardens from the balconies. The bathrooms are a bit small and basic, but this did... more

We booked direct with the hotel as they had a special offer on, which included room upgrade to a deluxe room, free return transfers. The breakfast cost on pre-booking was minimal so do check this out. Hotel Location - yes it is out of the centre, but tuk tuks readily available, and are very fair, not too much haggling, most... more

Spent 3 nights here from 12 August. Upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival. Room very clean and spacious with a selection of fresh fruit each day. Beautiful gardens and clean swimming pools. Disappointed La Gritta Restaurant not open duing our stay. Staff very attentive. Out of town, but only a 80/100bht tuk tuk drive away from the main shopping... more

Staff at the hotel were very courteous and helpful. Stayed in the deluxe suite here which cost round 2000baht per night. The standard room was about 1200 i think which really is better value in retrospect. They are the same size and the deluxe merely has nicer furnishings, complimentary daily paper and fruit selection, and are located on the top... more
