We heard the manager has left this hotel recently. It might be a rumour but it would explain a few things. Swimming pool is dirty and needs some maintenance. Breakfast is below average. Fried eggs sit on s hot plate. Fine if you get them as they come out of the kitchen. BUT if they have been out a while... More

When we were at this hotel there was construction and dust during the day but quiet at night. The Hotel looks real nice on the outside but when you get to the room its a bit worn. It was clean enough and the pool was nice the location was walking distance from everything we wanted so no complaints there.I think... More

Not sure who's done Trip Advisers previous review on this hotel because they must of either been blind, in desperate need of glasses and hearing aid or been bribed. We travel and stay in many hotel in Thailand and this one without doubt is the worst. The rooms are well worn, stained and grubby. The restaurant is infested with ants,... More

I was planning on staying only a couple nights and ended up staying a week. The hostel is clean, comfortable, and modern. It is also in a great central location, steps away from the night market and one of the central gates. I would recommend it.

We booked this hotel from Bangkok as we were arriving late at night. It was just ok. The room had a very odd layout but was clean enough. The pool are was very nice. The breakfast was not great. We only stayed two nights and then changed hotels.

A handy hotel within walking distance of most sites. We were in the cheap corridor - tiled floors as opposed to carpet so quite noisy. We were awoken at 5.30 by someone pounding on our door which was annoying but not the hotels fault! Pool wasn't hugely exciting but perfecting adequate. There were some room service dirty plates left outside... More

We stayed in the renovated section of the hotel, it was a good looking room, it was very quiet and a good size. The air conditioning worked well, but didn't go lower than 24 degrees celsius. The bathroom was a bit small and could use an extractor fan to help get the steam out. The only real issue was that... More

The CM Gate Hotel is a very nice Hotel, but it is getting a bit run down and could use some sprucing up!! We have stayed here for the last five years usually for 3-5 months. The hotels biggest downfall is their breakfast buffet it really could use an overhaul. In cleanliness and the quality of the food. A few... More
