I've stayed here a couple times with my family and groups and we've all enjoyed the place. The deco is very Thai with a great open area for eating. The rooms are clean but very basic. No TV's. Some rooms have Aircon but most only have fans. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is what made it for us. They... More

I had not looked at the review about this place when I went here. I happened to have chanced upon it while driving around looking for the a guest house. Its decently priced and pretty. The rooms are basic but are spacious, clean and the bathroom are big (shower was leaking slightly). I liked the food that was served here.... More

I found this place by chance, just walking around and this place catches my eye with the beautiful gardens and the tranquil atmosphere. The room was simple, good clean standards (some dust on the surfaces but no mold in the toilets and clean sheets), there's a window bit a nice view to the old city entry and well ventilated. Very good... More

Stayed a week in November and a week in January. Great place. Staff honest and helpful with reccomendations of local events like culture markets etc. Rooms were basic but only paid 300baht for twin room with ensuite and hot water, and the room was cleaned daily. Infact the staff were fab and took my son and I out one of... More

Someone with a key to our room robbed us! All of our belongings were unzipped and gone through. There was no sign of forced entry as all doors & windows were locked. We're pretty sure we know who committed the crime because the money was missing right after our room was cleaned. That day the cleaning lady only changed our... More

Mountainview became like home to me on a 2 month stay in Chiang Mai. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, willing to go the extra mile whether that is to help you catch your first sorng taow or book a day trip to ride the elephants. The rooms are simple but comfortable and kept well stocked with all... More

Our group stayed here for a little over a week, and it was a great experience. The rooms were basic but clean. The beds might be a little firm for some people, but I was used to it. They have AC and fans in the guest rooms, and WiFi throughout the property. The outdoor garden/dining area was beautiful. Food was... More

If you want to feel a little less touristy and a little more like a local, this guest house is a perfect, inexpensive stop in Chiang Mai. The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable and we enjoyed breakfast every morning in the outdoor garden cafe with a stream and fish pond. The private bath was functional and the shower... More

The outdoor garden and dining area is lovely and is the primary asset of this property. If you are a jazz fan it is terrific to walk a few blocks to hear great jazz almost nightly at the North Gate right nearby. On the down side, if you happen to have a room that somehow faces the venue you will... More
