Chiang Mai is quite a large town with very different areas and the best hotel for you probably depends on which area suits you. This one is quite a walk to the old city or at least to the heart of it but it has other things going for it. The grounds are a pleasant surprise for such a busy town. The blocks are all just three stories high and spread throughout pleasant gardens. The buildings have been there for some time but that is a good thing because they have character and are very well maintained. The rooms are large with a balcony overlooking the gardens. When we arrived the beds felt too firm for us but I went straight down to reception and very comfortable toppers were fitted in about ten minutes. The bathroom was large but the temperature of the water in the shower wandered up and down requiring a quick response so as not to get frozen or poached. There is a nice pool with sunbeds spread around it close to the reception and breakfast area. Breakfasts are in a lovely open to the sides but covered area and it becomes a pleasant start to the day. Strangely there was no food available after 4p.m. but not to worry as you will see below. Back to the position of the hotel. The night market starts about two hundred yards away and continues right up the road to two covered markets which contain large food markets. We ate there most nights and mainly for under £2. Add to that the fact that cocktails, such as mojitos were also under £2 and you can see why we rarely made it to restaurants but when we did we enjoyed those too and there are plenty of them. A good choice unless you feel you really need to be in the old city.

The place is good for a one night stand. The good sides is the suoer friendly hotel staff. Good breakfast. Dont knowntje dinner becouse we went to the city for dining. Room we have recived was very dark nevertheless comfortable. The bathroom definitely need renovations to go up to 20th not to mention 21st century standards. So as a stop for further sightseeing is ok but definitely not for long stay.

This was my favourite hotel in Thailand. I couldn't believe what an oasis it was when I stepped up to the reception area: trees, flowers and exotic birdcalls. The rooms are so tastefully arranged, with extra, artistic touches - friezes on the walls and mock-antique furniture. The swimming pool was very welcome after plenty of visits to the temples and markets in the bustling city. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very attentive. Loved it and would highly recommend.

Yaang Resort is very close to many Food Courts (Kalare Night Bazar our favorite). Hotel is romantic Lanna style architecture, and rooms are pretty silent for sleeping. Breakfast was really good and its personal provided excellent service. Team Tabasco was very pleased. Pool was OK, but sometimes playing kids makes too much noise. This resort could be Adults Only format, but let see what the future is bringing. Roo. maintenance team works like a dream, big kudos to them.

The grounds are absolutely stunning! We stayed in three different rooms during our stay and each was more beautiful than the next. Very large spaces with gorgeous decor and roomy bathrooms. Staff are friendly, helpful, and brilliant! Location is ideal and yet very quiet despite the proximity to markets and nightlife. Great spot for jumping off to activities during the early part of the day and then resting at the beautiful pool in the warmest hours. Close to great food all within walking distance to the old city and night markets. I would have stayed forever!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Yaang Come Village. Location is perfect, close to the night markets and a great base to explore Chiang Mai from. Authentic hotel where the grounds are a mix of stunning plants and flowers, that create a really tranquil relaxing environment. Hard to believe you are so close to the city centre. What really makes the hotel are the staff! Lovely team always available to advise, help or just have a chat about your trip. We were a group of friends meeting up as part of a wider trip and Ton who works in the bar / restaurant was a star! Always happy to help and always with a huge smile! Every hotel needs a Ton :) Would recommend!

October Wed . Located about a 100 meters from a brightly lit street market with street food, vendors, and art. The famous night market spans an entire block and is open from 6pm to midnight; make sure to check out the vendors in the back with the same items for different prices. I purchased a beautiful dress for a song, and two really great pieces from Watchara Hongthong. He’s got a stunning style. For the price I was tempted to buy more as gifts. . The hotel itself is cute and clean and extremely green. There may have been mosquitoes but I am covered in powerful 10 hour DEET. The front desk is so pleasant. You can drop off the heavy room key at the front desk 24/7 for safe keeping. There is strong, complimentary wifi. . The breakfast is good. They have an out of this world fried rice. My friend’s favorite was the pork on fried bread with the sugar/vinegar sauce. . A lovely place to stay!

Our stay at Yaang Come Village felt more like a Lanna Kingdom Oasis rather than a Hotel. The beautiful architecture, pool, and vegetation made for a truly relaxing stay. The retreat-like setting feels like you're miles civilization, while only being a short walk or Songthaew ride to the old city. The breakfast in the morning was satisfying and the rooms were gorgeous. The staff was very helpful, helping us set up transportation at several points. Amazing stay!

This hotel is authentic in style situated on the edge of the Old Town within walking distance to the night bazzar. Grab taxis are the cheapest form of transport and we used these for the shortish distance to Tha Pae Gate to explore the old town itself. The large pool is very welcoming and never felt overcrowded, drinks and food are available through the day but closes later on on the afternoon. Breakfast is basic but enough. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are up a flight of stairs with no lift, this may be a problem for someone with disability problems - ask for a ground floor room. If you want a traditional style boutique hotel set in lovely gardens close to the old town with a nice pool, choose his one.
