We had a wonderful three day stay at Moon Dance on the River last November when we were in Chiang Mai for my daughter's wedding. Maurice and his wife are welcoming and kind. They were very helpful when we needed them but didn't hover. Moon Dance is quite clean and well kept with a handsome array of Thai art adorning the walls. Maurice was able to reserve places at a well known Chiang Mai cooking school, even though we requested this at the last minute. When we asked what might be a special dinner, he arranged for reservations on a nearby restaurant's dinner cruise on the Ping River. It was delightful and perfect for the night before the wedding. An added bonus: the best restaurant in Chiang Mai, according to local Thais, is in easy walking distance from Moon Dance. We ate there several times. It was exactly what we wanted.
