My partner and I (from Sydney, Australia) stayed in the Manathai early this year and have been meaning to write this review for some time now. Looking at the photos on their website and TA reviews, we had high hopes for the Manathai - it looked to be everything we wanted: a traditional Thai village style hotel, in the heart... more

Chiang Mai was our first stop on our 2 week trip to Thailand. We loved the city, and we loved this resort. We were picked up at the airport, and after that we knew the way to the hotel. It can be a bit tricky to find. We went everywhere by foot, it's so close to evertthing going on, but... more

We really enjoyed our 4nite stay here. The hotel is well situated near all attractions in Chiang Mai. It is surprisingly quiet given the location in the city. Our room had a little patio entranceway and felt secluded within their boutique hotel setting. Room had charm. Polished concrete floor and very ample sized bathroom with a tub. It was very... more

We stayed at Manathai for three nights and were very happy with what we got for the price. A lovely, small hotel in the middle of Chiang Mai. Everything reachable on foot or by tuk tuk. Deluxe rooms big with fancy bathrooms. Attentive staff, good food (we once ate at the pool) and good breakfast. We got a boat trip... more

Four of us recently stayed 2 nights at Manathai Village (located in Old Chiang Mai). We're glad we had a driver, because it isn't the easiest place to find. Check in was a good experience after our long drive from Pai. We were greeted with cool cloths & a welcome drink. With only 29 rooms, it was a quick stroll... more

Two couples traveling on a customized tour spent two nights here. The rooms were smaller than our other accommodations & not real 'user friendly.' However, there was a mini-bar, a/c & TV. The bathtub/shower was deep, making it difficult for some to get into/out of safely. We never figured out how to get hot water out of the sink faucet... more

My wife and I stayed with another couple in the Manathai Village Hotel close to the centre of CM and thouroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were clean and individually designed with some interesting touches. The pool area is small and gets only a little direct sunshine but is just perfect for the end of the day cooling swim. The staff... more

Stayed in Manathai, Chiang Mai for 3 days. The hotel is zen, once u arrive in the hotel, the calm music and the nice arroma's are bringing the best in you. We booked a junior suite, we had some problems with the warm water, which they fixed immediatly. The only minor thing about the hotel was the noice from the... more

We were quite disappointed by our stay at Manathai. Common areas and rooms are charming, but overall it was highly overpriced. Rooms are not big, they are not convenient, especially the bathroom: you have to go through the shower to access the sink, no curtain to hide toilets ... There is almost nowhere you can tidy things. We slept for... more

I stayed in Manathai for 3 nights with my family members and they had a nearby room. I think we were upgraded because we had stayed at the Manathai Phuket earlier in our trip. I loved the location. The rooms and lobby were very comfortable. There were a lot of choices for the breakfast. The service was friendly. All in... more
