We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and found it excellent value (booked for about US$50 per night, including taxes and breakfast, through a thai hotel website). The rooms were clean and modern, and the service was really friendly yet professional-there's a nice lady at the reception and there's another younger guy around who seems to be the owner.... more

I visited my son, who lives in Bangkok, in Feb / Mar 2008. We took a trip to ChiangMai.. stayed 4 nights at Portico 21. We loved our stay here!!! The lady at the front desk is so nice and makes you feel at home. The rooms were so clean!!! I would totally go back to this place. I checked about 10 places before I found Portico 21 and this was by far the best!!! I'm really picky about my room being really clean so... more

This hotel is a fairly new one and should certainly be rated 4* with the quality of service it provides. The owner has lovingly decorated the place and it is very chic, with beautiful rooms (well, mine was, anyway) and a lovely lobby. Lovely little new boutique hotel in a tranquil yet easily accessible location ( esp. the Sunday Market, Night Market, as well as the local markets).
