Nice place and great location, but certainly not 4 star or "top end", as lonely planet decsribes it. That would be OK, if the prices were midrange, but I feel that I paid too much for the quality of this place, espcially when there are so many other options in Chiang Mai. more

My wife and I have had the pleasure of spending 2 months at Duang Champa and we marvel, almost daily, at the staff's tireless amiability and the hotel's bottomless charm. The rooms are beautiful (ask for room 6 and watch the Sunday night market from your balcony!) and the patio is gorgeous, as well. Airy, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Really,... more

When I entered the Villa Duang Champa, it was love at first sight. The friendliness of the staff was warming to my travel-rumpled heart and the lobby area was bright and colorful and extremely enticing. Then I saw my room... As large as some apartments I have lived in, with windows on two sides and a wall of French doors... more

This is a great little gem in a fascinating city. Bang in the middle of town, stylish, friendly and helpful. Just step of busy Rachadamnoen and watch the world go by from the terrace. Breakfast is a real treat and don't miss one of the Thai style iced coffees. more

I'm not a spa person but I do love a good massage. When I booked 3 nights at Duang Champa based on a recommendation from friends for a small group of us traveling in Thailand a spa experience was not really part of the agenda. We were looking for a unique & comfortable place to stay within the old city... more

This hotel is in a great location in the centre of the old town, the rooms were comfortable, airy and clean with all the amenities one would expect in a guesthouse/inn. The building was beautiful and renovations thoughtful, however many of the spacious public areas I felt where under-utilised. Whilst much care had gone into the asthetics of the property... more

Booked directly with them after reviews here, for 2nd leg of honeymoon. Was pleased when saw the great decor and colours on arrival, matched with pleasant service. Really appreciated Yai's service during booking process, recommending a room that suited our interests. Room 3 was delightful with its own private balcony, bright and airy feel with windows on 3 sides, and... more

We were a couple with our parents and spent the long weekend over Songkram at Duang Champa. This is a designer's hobby horse gem of a boutique hotel and a fraction of the cost of other luxury boutique hotels in the same area. This is right in the heart of the town close to restaurants and the Chedi Luang temple.... more

An absolutely stunning place and would thoroughly recommend it. We stayed on the last leg of our honeymoon and it made our trip. You are perfectly positioned for sightseeing and the night market. We stayed in the villa, and it lived up to all our expectations and more. Comes highly recommended. more

I have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Relaxing atmosphere in grat locations, nothing to complain. Go to their web and see the pictures, pick the room you like. Pictures are exactly the room looks. I want to stay in there as my home. Go to Duang Champa! more
