Right on Lamai beach, with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance this place was excellent. Double room was spacious and clean, cable tv and air con. Pool was large and well maintained with sun loungers for free. Breakfast included was great. more

The AM Samui Palace is perfect for a stay on the Lamai. Next to the beach, just about a 3 minutes walk through another resort and next to the restaurants, shops and nightlife of Lamai Road. They serve basic but enough breakfast to start your day. It has a very nice swimmingpool in a very nice surrounding and the staff... more

My husband and I recently spent 9 nights at the Am Samui. We originally booked 2 nights to make sure it was okay. It totally lived up to the photos on TripAdvisor (that a guest took) and was clean, modern, and not run-down like many places on Samui. It is a 3-min walk through some bungalows to the beach, so... more

great hotel - good sized rooms, nicely furnished, duvets rather than thin blanket, good friendly service. bathroom is basic, no real toiletries besides some body wash and shampoo. only english channels were HBO and CNN. breakfast was not the best, very limited. made to order eggs but quality wasn't flash. although there's heaps of eating options around the area anyway.... more

This is a nice hotel in the noisiest area of Lamai. Bars are at either side and a the Fusion club is very close. Thumping loud music can be heard all night till aprox 5.30 am every night, even though we stayed in the quietest rooms . We were unable to sleep. The whole area is very sleezy, like Kings... more

Stayed here in Feb this year and it was still having lots of construction work, but as mentioned before got some cheap deals. Stayed again in November this year, and all the work is now finished, and still got a good price. Now has a restaurant there, and good breakfast. Samui was amazingly quiet in November, so the hotel was... more

After staying on the quiet side of Samui on Bophut Beach I moved to Lamai Beach to be closer to shopping and restaurants. I chose Am Samui Palace as it was only 1 year old. The hotel itself is still in good shape but Thai ownership means there are standard amenities missing that you normally find in an international hotel...like... more

This hotel is still being built as of March 2008 however you are able to stay there at a bargain price whilst construction (which only happens during the day) occurs. It is in a fantastic location, right across the road from the Lamai walking market and a 2 minute walk to the beach. Whilst this hotel is in the middle... more
