This new resort was converted from long-term rental bungalows and apartments. These continue to have some advantages - large fridge in every room, most with kitchenette, large sized bungalows with a homely feel to them, nice balcony, spacious entrance hall, big bathroom and room, with hot shower and TV.
The service is also excellent - the resort is run by a french-thai couple who will be happy to help you out with anything you need.
The beach is two minutes away and the centre of Lamai around 15 minutes walk (the songthaws - or taxis - are very expensive, specially after 6pm). However Lamai beach is certainly not the nicest beach in Samui - Mae Nam or Choeng Mong, or Bhan Rak are certainly nicer. Chaweng on the other hand is just too busy and unless you are into a lot of partying, it is better avoided.
