The Asean is a large, well run hotel, with good views of the harbor from most if not all rooms, It is a short taxi ride to the Tourist Harbor. The location is in the Bai Chay part of Halong City, where most of the hotels and the Tourist Harbor are located. The rooms are a decent size and well... more

When we arrived at the hotel at around midday, there was nobody at the door, no bellboy, nobody at the reception desk. Eventually some people turned up. We were shown to our room, which looked nice, but had a terrible smell coming from the bathroom which was spotlessly clean! So we asked to have our room changed. Same problem again.... more
