Travelled with 2 pax, no rooms available with 3 single beds, rooms are very nice in decor and Catherdal is next door and can hear the bells in the early hours of the morning but nothing to keep you awake, small balcony overlooking a laneway and looking in to other peoples apartments. Very spiral winding staircase to top floor level... More

We walked by the cinnamon boutique hotel and picked up their hotel brochure while walking old town Hanoi. The location of the small hotel is great. Just next to the cathedral, around the corner from some great restaurants and in a very happening area. The hotel itself is nice but for the asking price of 77 US for a church... More

The moment I walked into this hotel, I was greeted by name by the exceptionally friendly receptionist. She sat me down in the charming lobby and brought me a cup of tea along with the documents needed for checking in. I cannot fault the service in this hotel. I was provided with detailed directions to some of the nicest restaurants... More

Okay, I can't lie. It was a little noisy. This hotel is located right next door to St Joseph's Cathedral which was incredible as we were in Hanoi over Christmas. The bells do ring throughout the night, so if you can get a room at the back of the hotel, you'll probably sleep better. Aside from that, we have never... More

Only thing that will deter me from staying there is the hourly chimes from the st joseph church located opposite from the hotel. It seriously disturb your sleep as it chimes all night long. Bring along noise cancellation headphones! But other than that, I love the amenities and the vibes in that area

We booked this hotel as a little bit of luxury after 15 days motorbikiing from Saigon. Disappointed with bathroom for an comparitively expensive hotel, still no shower cubicle so the bathroom floor and everything in it was constantly wet. Biggest issue however was the fact that although we booked with the knowledge we would be overlooking the Cathedral, they forgot... More

I really wanted to like this hotel. We stayed 4 nights in the Lime room. From the photos, it looked more charming than many of the more sterile options in this price category. But in the end, those charming elements, such as original windows and balcony doors and views of the church, translated into noisy, sleepless nights. The interesting light... More

We stayed three nights at the Cinnamon. It has a great location right next to St Josephs cathedral (5 minute walk from the lake). The rooms are clean, a little small and a little dark. Breakfasts are good and freshly prepared. The staff are helpful and polite. The bells from the cathedral are loud, and ring at odd times. If... More

We stayed 3 nights in this nice hotel before heading north and enjoyed it very much. Close to the old quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake in a relative quiet (It's still Hanoi :-D) street. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Nicely, Japanese style, decorated rooms but rather small bathroom. Guests can start their day with a good breakfast (plenty of... More

Set in a mercifully quiet street next to St Josephs Cathedral on the edge of the old quarter the Cinnamon is an oasis of relative quiet and elegance in the midst of Hanoi's havoc. It's small, one has to walk the 3 floors to the top but it has the feel of an old Parisian Hotel. The staff are most... More
