The room was nice and the staff were very helpful and certainly had your best interests at heart. The problem is that this hotel is not that cheap esp the VIP room and the location right in the heart of old town is incredibly noisy. All night the scooters are beeping, you just can't get away from them. Our advice... more

Stayed 4 nights in November 2009. The building is modern and clean, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. The front rooms have a cute little balcony, but the street is so noisy that earplugs are an absolute necessity for sleeping (the soundproof glazing is poorly installed, and doesn’t work effectively). Rear rooms with windows were recommended by staff as being... more

Supremely polite and helpful staff, especially Mr Quyen the doorman. Noisy if facing street, ask for rooms in back overlooking Hoan Kiem (unless you want street balcony). Right in heart of Old Quarter, around corner from Water Theatre. While I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if for a few days max only.Otherwise I prefer peace and quieter locale. But dare... more

Arrived from Bangkok late at night. Was so excited to stay here. Advised that Martin (who was fantastic to communicate with etc prior to arrival) was no longer with the hotel. First thing is first - when your paying $50 a night in Hanoi you expect aircon in 35deg heat. The night manager advised that the aircon was broken and... more

We could not have been happier with our choice of hotel -- the location was great, great value for money, the hotel staff were very nice and helpful, the room was clean, and free wireless internet! If we were to be super picky, the shower pressure was not as strong as we would have liked it. But really - thats... more

Placed right in the heart of the old quarter and close to everything we went with this hotel on the recommendation of this site. We were so looked after that we couldn't believe our luck. It began with a phone call from the Manager - Martin - to our home in Australia before we left, double checking he had our... more

The hotel is brand new and spotlessly clean. We booked the large VIP room on the top floor with balcony for only US$79 (included $4 for extra bed). The room included a desktop computer with free internet (there is free internet in the lobby too). The staff seemed to REALLY care and take note of guests' needs. In our booking... more

My family ( with a 2 yr old) stayed here in September 2009. Here are a couple of reasons to choose them - 1. Location: It's in the old quarter but not right in the thick of it ...which gives you some breathing space from the touristy vortex. It's located about a 100 meters from the Water Puppet theater and... more
