Hotel's Reception/Lobby was under re-construction. This was not mentioned beforehand, when booking online; and it ought to have been mentioned. Normally (I stayed there several times) the hotel has (also) a nice restaurant at the mezzanine level; where one would take breakfast. Unfortunately, this was also under re-construction and instead we had breakfast in a function room!? -- that was... More

I understand that the hotel is under the renovation. But, the hotel didn't prepare to give a better service to the clients. Most of flights from Europe arrives in the early morning. After more than 10 hours flight, we are tired but still, we need to wait until the check-in time. The B'fast was so worst and there is no... More

Very disappointing hotel. Certainly not 5 star, 4 at best. Rooms are outdated & uncomfortable. Reception staff unhelpful. Breakfast buffet was good but staff need to be more attentive & professional. We had to approach the staff for service. The bar is not a bar. The gym is outdated. The shower leaks. Most disappointing was that we had paid for... More

Stayed here for 5 days for business (though Im hanoi local). I chose the hotel because its location is ideal for my business while it is not the best for people who want to explore Hanoi old town. Service was so so. Staff need serious training. We were at the hotel bar sitting there for 15 mins but the server... More

The hotel was adequate given the that it was undergoing renovations. Regrettably we were not informed about this and certainly no fault of the hotel. The tour operator is to be blamed for this. The staff was helpful and courteous and breakfast room appeared to be in ballroom--food was plentiful, diverse and good. Disappointed that we were given a room... More

If there's a scale among five-star hotels, this should be at the lower end. The non-smoking rooms perpetually smell like smoking rooms (I have stayed here three times). The interior is old, and the wall is not sound proof. Most staff are friendly, though, but they need to reminded about take-out breakfast if you're leaving the hotel early before breakfast... More

Dear Guest, First of all, thank you very much for your patronage. It is with regret that we note your dissatisfaction with the smell in the non-smoking room. The matter has been brought to our Executive Housekeeper so that she can apply methods to deodorize the rooms and ask her team to check the rooms carefully. We are also step... More

Staff are great and very helpful. Rooms are a good size with a very comfortable bed though is a bit old. Breakfast is great with a wide selection of both eastern and western choices. Hotel is currently undergoing renovations and would be an even better place to stay once renovations are complete. More

I stayed for two weeks in this hotel in May, before the renovations started, so this review may be dated. As for most other reviewers, I was unimpressed with the location, a long distance from the charming old quarter of Hanoi. However, the front desk and the porters were very friendly and efficient. The 9th-floor room was adequate but somewhat... More
