We stayed here in April and moved to this hotel after finding the hotel we originally booked was not suitable. The rooms at the Oriental are large, clean, excellent bathrooms, ( everything works) and the beds were fantastic. New linen and the rooms are serviced daily. The staff are really helpful and speak excellent English. The hotel is in a... More

We stayed at the hotel hong NGOs for 4 nights. The room was big and well designed and very clean. Great location in the old city. Management went out of their way to make us comfortable, the manager was especially understanding when we had a problem with a tour we had booked. In the end it all got sorted out... More

Rooms are lovely, big and bathrooms are beautiful. Wifi in room, computer located in lobby and English tv channels. Buffet style breakfast which is excellent. Location was pretty good, just beware of pick pockets but that goes for all of Hanoi.

Nice hotel situated right in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Easy access to all main touristic restaurants, bars and shops. The room was clean and the bathroom seemed to be renovated recently. Breakfast was OKi, nothing more but can't complain for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend that hotel to fully enjoy Hanoi's atmosphere

we enjoyed a great time in Hong Ngoc Annam Hotel. The room is freshly renovated and very nicely furnished, clean and calm. Bathroom very modern. The hotel also arranged airport transport for us and recommended good local restaurants.

I traveled to Hanoi twice in 2012/2013 for pleasure and both times stayed at this hotel. I am from San Francisco and am definitely used to the hustle and bustle of downtown. For the price that I paid, this was my most enjoyable stay in all of Vietnam. Location: What can you say, you are in the middle of everything... More

Just loved this hotel. Of course like many hotels in vietnamese cities, windows here are a luxury. The room was clean and small. But really quite pleasant with some lovely carved furniture. A great sanctuary from the Hanoi heat. Because, let's face it life is outside the hotel and this one is perfectly situated to make the most of it.... More

I stayed in here as part of a pre-booked tour package, and was pretty happy with the standard. Can't comment on price as it was included in my overall tour, however i found the breakfast a little disappointing as a veggie. Filled up on cakes.. ! The staff were nice and polite, and arranged for airport transfers for me, however... More

They were very accomadating with late checkouts. And also did a great deal on the room for half day. Right in the old town and it's addictive street life Very... More

We stayed at Hong Ngoc 3 for 8 nights and had booked a superior room via Agoda. The room was spacious, had clean sheets, a large bathroom with tub and stone floors. However, the window was facing onto the hallway with no natural light. Without the room lights it was completely dark, which I found depressing. The TV was on... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Inspired by the French protectorate, Hong Ngoc Annam is named after the central territory of Vietnam during the 19th century. Our boutique hotel is situated on ‘Hang Bac - Silver Street’- the busiest and the most famous old street in Hanoi. Dated from the 13th century, this place was famous as a silver ingot factory under the reign of King Le Thanh Tong. Nowadays, experienced craftsmen are still hand-making varieties of jewelry such as ear-rings, bracelets, rings, gold chains for the local market. With a strategic location, it only takes 5 minutes from the iconic Hoan Kiem lake and from many other famous sightseeings including Hanoi Opera House, The Water Puppet Theater... Recently refurbished in 2012, our 25 guest rooms’s interiors are superbly stylish, preserving the fine art deco details. Together with excellent service, there will be no doubt Hong Ngoc Annam is the best way for for you to explore the colorful culture, both traditional and modern exciting lifestyle of Vietnam. ... more   less
