The room we stayed in was spacious and very clean, the bathroom was airy and clean too. However, I think it was the staff that made it - they were very helpful and friendly. more

Great location, helpful staff. Certainly not five star but just a good place to see the real Hanoi from. Choose a Pho for breakfast and one of the staff will go out and source it from one of the street vendors. Awesome. Just duck and don't make eye contact when the dount ladies wander past... more

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Lucky Star I, on Bat Dan Street in early March. We didn't book ahead or anything, we just happened to be lugging our baggage after leaving the Manh Dung guesthouse (which we didn't like at all!), and we chanced upon this hotel. Looked good from outside, and the rooms were a delight!... more

During our 5 week stay in Vietnam we stayed at both Lucky Star hotels and loved them both! The amazing thing about both hotels is their staff. They will bend over backwards to make you feel at home. We stayed while we adopted our daughter. It was overwhelming being in a foreign country with a new baby, but the Lucky... more

We stayed at Lucky Star 1 which is smack bang in the Old Quarter, a plus being the convenient location but make sure you get a room at the back of the hotel. We were at the front which was pretty noisy due to the millions of motorbikes whizzing around sounding their horns non-stop ! Room was on 5th floor,... more

We stayed a total of three nights at the luckey star hotel and found the rooms to be clean and large. Overall we were initially quite impressed with the place. On our final day there we decided to book train tickets through the hotel and we stored our luggage with them while we waited for our train to leave. After... more

We stayed at Lucky Star 1 in a budget room ($25US) before going out to Halong Bay. There were no windows but it was spacious and QUIET. When back in Hanoi they didn't have any budget rooms left but gave us a nice room for the same price. Free computers in the foyer and an average but inclusive breakfast. We... more
