We had looked on the web site and confused this hotel with the SUNSHINE 1 HOTEL in Hanoi, Vietnam. We checked into the SUNRISE hotel which was on a busy street. The room was very small. The in room computer was probably 10 years old and did not work, would not even power up. The bathtub was dirty and we... more

We are very suprise to learn that the sunise Hotel ranks 200 of total 230 hotels in Hanoi. We stayed here last month from 24th to 27th August 2008 and fount this hotel was great. The hotel rooms were large and very spacious and some rooms had balcony. The owner of this hotel was fabulous! Thy were very eager to... more

We stayed here for 1 night and weren't very satisfied. However, I feel it's hard to be satisfied anywhere in Hanoi. Everyone is trying to rip you off, and not many people run a very good business. I don't highly suggest this place, but I also wouldn't suggest spending much time in Hanoi anyway. We crashed here for a night... more

We have turned back to thailand after a week holiday in Vietnam, Hanoi. We have stayed in Sunrise Hotel hanoi and I myself found this hotel very nice to stay. Locating at number 9A Hang mam street, just 150 ms from Hoan kiem lake, very easy to exploit all part of Hanoi. For the staff they was very helpful and... more

This hotel is close to being a scam. They gave us a room price of 30US$ per night and when we got the bill, they tried to charge us that amount per person first (but changed after complaining). They added 10% VAT, which is normally included for accommodation in this range. Worst of all, they promised us, we could stay... more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I believe it is a scam to rip off tourists and could threaten your safety. We had a horrible and dangerous experience with the manager and found that the website and the information communicated are lies. The website for Sunrise Hotel is modern and shows a clean, renovated facility with new pleasant furnishings. Via... more

We got booked in here by the Green Palace in Hoi An, on the basis that our chosen Hanoi hotel was full. Probably not! But this place was jolly friendly and, for 20 bucks, our ensuite was fine although up a few stairs. It turned out that our VSO friends in Hanoi had stayed here for 3 months when they... more

The Sunrise Hotel saved me, it is true. When we arrived on our first day in Vietnam, amongst the jet lag and wonder at being in a new place I made one very big mistake; I had lost my passport. Checking into the hotel and sifting through my bags, no passport was to be found and my heart was in... more

We stayed here for one night and were satisfied. The stuff is really helpful and the rooms to the street are spacious and well decorated, even equipped with a computer to use the internet. Breakfast is a little poor but enough. more
