This new hotel is way surpassed my expectations (and these are generally high) A series of pavillions on Westlake 10 minutes from Hanoi's old quarter. The rooms are great with tranquil views over the lake with great luxurious bathrooms. I ate at Milan restaurant (the best Italian food i have had in Asia) To top it off the hotel has... more

Booked the hotel through a friend and got a really reasonable deal. I must say this is for an InterContinental quite an exceptional experience. The hotels design, the food and especially the service is outstanding. Most of all I liked the setting. There were a few hiccups with the room key but that happens everywhere from time to time and... more

This is a fantastic hotel. Service was top class, restaurants are excellent, rooms are great, gym is fantastic - could not fault the hotel at all. I would highly recommend staying there. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in without a doubt. more

WOW, is all I can say. I just returned for a three (3) day meeting at this wonderful hotel and have promised I will return soon with my daugther and wife, this is a lovely hotel and worth staying for business or leisure. The exterior of the hotel looks rather old world in the fashion of french say 100 years... more

The hotel is set on a big sprawling place, beautifully built over the west lake. For rooms further away, they have a buggy service to bring you over. Very scenic and beautiful. The room is very comfortable, very big bathroom and our balcony on the 2nd floor opens to a very nice view of the swimming pool and the lake.... more

I booked this hotel for my parents when they visited as it looks so great from the outside. It has amazing views over westlake and the rooms are very nice. It is however a great shame that it was like being in a ghost town and the service is not very good. For a new hotel I thought that their... more

The hotel is beautiful and let us escaped from the chaotic Hanoi streets. The staff were well trained to behave friendly and polite but were not flexible. No early check-in and late check-out was offered even though the hotel was not fully booked. We took an evening flight and asked the front desk whether we could use the fitness center... more

I have stayed at hotels around the world, from tokyo to beverly hills, australia to italy, and have never experienced better service than what i got at the intercontinental hanoi-westlake. This place is wonderful. From the moment I walked into the lobby, i was greeted by several people with smiles. Some even knew me by name -- how, i don't... more

The hotel itself is quite nice - though the fact that they opened while they are "building" parts of the hotel, i think is really in bad taste for a hotel of such caliber. the fact that is built on a polluted lake with floating garbage is another. Building a million-dollar hotel that will generate millions of dollars should be... more
