There are actually two sites of the Happy Inn hotel - we stayed at the one on the main street (not the one on Mini Hotel Alley). All in all, we had a comfortable stay here and have no complaints. Our room wasn't the best that we stayed in during our Vietnam trip, but this is not to say that... more

When I got of the bus in the backpakers area in Ho Chi Minh City, a woman (a "tout") directed me to this hotel. This is definitely one of the better budget hotels in this area. My room was nicely furnished and the bathroom was also spacious and clean. And the best thing is that you don't pay more for... more

Bear with me - this may at first appear that I am reviewing the wrong hotel but I'm not!!! We made a booking directly with Kim Hotel prior to arriving in HCMC. We booked a $22 room. plus breakfast $3, plus airport pick-up at $9. As we were going to be arriving quite late at night, we felt it would... more

When deciding to travel to Vietnam my boyfriend and I wanted to stay somewhere cheap but clean. We looked up tripadvisor for some suggestions and decided to book a room at "Happy Inn" based on the good reviews on the site. Once we arrived in Ho Chi Minh we had some trouble locating the hotel, but luckily we managed to... more

Tucked in one of the alleys off the main roads, this is quite a gem. Unlike most other guesthouses in the area which have a rather dated home-ish look, Happy Inn has very modern decor, both in the lobby and the rooms. It must be pretty new as the rooms and corridors still smell faintly of the wood varnish. At... more

I spent a great deal of time searching forums and blogs trying to decide where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. I was amazed that every place I came across had at least some negative reviews. That was until I came across the Happy Inn. I stayed there for several nights and couldn't have been more pleased. It's spotlessly... more

My wife & I stayed there during a recent holiday to Saigon. Used it as a base to travel to Mekong Delta & Hoi An. Booked via email & arranged them to have a driver pick us up from the airport. Stayed in the top floor room with large balcony. Happy Inn is in a convenient location in D1, staff... more

It's right downtown in District 1 (Saigon), has many places around it to eat and drink. Most of Saigon's sights can easily be reached from there on foot. The hotel itself is clean and everything seems to work, but don't expect fabulous views, especially if you have a room facing the back. They didn't offer breakfast with the package, but... more

What a terrible experience! I have a house in Ba Tri, in the Mekong Della and go to Saigon every week. I read the reviews and thought would try this hotel out. First the prices are a sham rooms now are going from $35 U.S. to $50 US. The hotel staff is discourteous and rude! My wife has two nieces... more

This is without a doubt the best value hotel I've ever stayed at! There are 2 branches and I stayed at the new one (Number 178) in a single room for $15 with breakfast. My room was on the 6th floor, with a LIFT (elevator)!!! The bathroom was spotless with a proper shower cubicle. The room was small but well... more
