We were assured a room when we got there from Nha Trang. We arrived at 7 am and were given the run around for about a half hour. I couldn't get an answer about the room. Then we found out we being put in Madame Cuc 184, more walking and the smallest room ($15) I've ever been in. They never... more

Stayed here on our first night, we got put on the 2nd floor at the front, only room available, at first they told us we would have to go to one of their other hotels but this one was reccomended in the LP. Very noisy all night, beeping mopeds, 2 loud bars just a few buildings away. Staff were nice... more

Stayed there in 2002 & 2007 - in 2002 the area was okay, nice & quiet. In 2007 everything had changed. Opposite the hotel is meanwhil a nightclub with lots of noise until early morning every night. It's a lot of hiking getting up to your room... the ones with balcony face the main road and are much noisier.... The... more

Styed in the hotel with my teenage children. The internal rooms are cramped, so ask for the rooms with external windows. The family room with a double and two singles is the best value and is a good size. Staff were wonderful and friendly, the hotel is very clean, and the per night price includes a modest evening meal and... more

We were very upset to find out that Madam Cucs places are not as good as promised in all guides (lonely planet,Reise know-how, Loose). Big rooms, nice welcoming but very unfriendly if you asked for another room. No elevator, a lot of stairs, very noisy, bad breakfast (not comparable with others), bad price/value, not very honest employees, high exchange rate... more

Very clean friendly hotel. Great service and attentive, helpful and fun staff (Ha, Phong, Ga etc). Cheap. Can be a little noisy. Madam Cuc shows her face every now and then. The beds are firm, there is enough room for a couple of bags at the foot of the bed, a small desk, refrigerator with tv on top. The bathroom... more

We stayed here with our 2 young children and were more than happy with the hotel itself. The staff were very helpful and were very attentive and generous towards our children. The room was a reasonable size and clean. The only problem was the noise. We were a few floors up and it was so noisy, all day and night... more

We paid US$15 for a room for a night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean. However, there were no brush, toothpaste, bath soap, shampoo. So if one likes to stay here, please remember to buy all these necessities. Breakfast is served in the morning. Tea, coffee and banana are served free during the... more

This is a very popular place and has the standard Vietnam building look, many floors, each with only a couple of rooms. The service from the staff was friendly but really quite disorganised. In the email booking process I was never told which of the madam Cuc hotels we were to stay at for instance. We were on a high... more
