Beware the hotel that asks you to pay for the first night before you see your room. Lonely Planet missed some important details. First, the hotel is over a bar. None of the rooms, we were told, has a window. Worst, though, was the strong odor of mold with obvious blooms and stains on the wall and a fritzy a/c.... More

We booked a room, airport transfer and onward car to Sihanoukville two months in advance and received an email from the hotel confirming all was booked. I then rang two days ahead of arrival and they had no recollection of this. Not the end of the world, especially as they then said they would make a new reservation and confirmed... More

The photo attached to this page is definitely not for this hotel but after reading the reviews I know I am on the right page. Good new first- excellent location, central for palace and riverfront. Breakfast very good. Lovely waiting staff, very attentive. Very reasonably priced. Now for the bad news. We booked a family room with three beds which... More

Located very close to the royal palace and the riverfrond it is a quiet place at night. Good restaurant and bar, nice rooftop with jacuzzi. Many travellers to meet.Friendly staff, professionell runned guesthouse.

On arrival they didn't have the room we reserved so they gave us a bigger one. God so far! But it had mold on the ceiling and in the shower. "We were going to fix it this weekend but have so many guest we have no chance!" It also had a rare soft mattress so we decided to deal with... More

After sitting on a rickety bus for 8 hours it was a relief to find somewhere to relax. Rooms very nice and obviously newly furbished with great flat screen tv, air con hotwater etc. Has a hot-tub / swimming pool on the top level and a nice restuarant area on the first level. Food is great although a little pricey... More

Most amazing place I have stayed, #9 has moved from the lake and is brand new. Rooms all have there own a/c's, flat screens and bathrooms. Hostel has good tunes, pool table, swimming pool, kitchen and a terrace to name just a few things. Super nice staff and great service

I first stayed in #9 back when I was living and working in Cambodia as a volunteer from 1996-1999 and have been there a few times over the years since. Most recently, I stayed there with my wife and two small kids aged 7 and 8. Sure, #9 isn't the Raffles Hotel, but really, what do you expect? The rooms... More

Travelling through Asia I knew that the $5 price for a room meant basic but I didn't realize I was subsidizing a brothel. It was in Lonely Planet so it couldn't be that bad, could it? When we arrived I quickly noticed there were a lot of local girls with older western men on the deck - which happens to... More
