Although not in the more convenient riverside location, we would recommend it if you are travelling with children. Our tuk-tuk driver took us to this place, but it was fully-booked for that night. We made a reservation for the following night, and then found accommodation in the riverside area for one night, before moving to the Billabong. It was worth... more

We had one of the deluxe rooms overlooking the pool for $55 per night and it was nice, quite spacious with a good wetroom and shower. There have been comments about the size of the standard rooms and I think they must be very small but our deluxe was fine. The pool area is very nice, the pool itself is... more

Stayed 4 nights, in 3 different rooms and cannot see why anybody would want to spend $22 more just to face the pool. It is a walkway for other guests not anywhere to sit and admire and far too hot as the sun beats down on these rooms. The back rooms are the same size. Loved how quiet it was... more

My husband and I stayed here in November 2009 on our vacation in a Standard room for $36 per night. Pros - good value, has all amenities with mini fridge, TV, safe and pool, breakfast included at the pool side restaurant, good security, on a quiet street, walking distance to Sorya Mall and Central Market, good service and assistance with... more

I loved the Billabong - it has a humble charm and enthusiastic staff. One of the few hotels I remember with affection. If only Phnom Penh were like the Billabong. Billabong is an aboriginal word for water-hole or ox-bow lake and the hotel feels like an oasis in the middle of a desolate city. more

We spent 2 nights here, waiting for jetlag to fade before continuing on to Siem Reap. We were quite pleased with our stay. The room was rather small, but well-appointed, with just enough decorations & pleasantly-colored walls and linens to feel a bit like home, and it looked over the pool. The bed was nicely firm. The whole place was... more

A lovely blue billabong amongst the busy city streets. Walk in and you automatically feel a calming influence. The staff are excellent. The drivers associated with the hotel are very helpful and safe. The pool is beautiful and so great after a day of sightseeing. The hotel works with the ChildSafe organization against exploitation of children in sex tourism. Food... more

We stayed at the Billabong for 3 nights. Firstly The Billabong is very inviting the premises and grounds are great and are quiet. The other guests came from UK , australia Holland etc and were quiet travellers. We didn't experience any party crew, which was great. It has a large pool nice outdoor undercover dining area, wifi access, plus computer... more

The first time we stayed at the Billabong i left behind a beloved piece of clothing. I emailed a day later and described the item, asking them to look for it and hold it, as i was coming back in a bit over a week's time. I left my email address, and i was somewhat surprised that they didn't respond.... more

We stayed in this hotel for one night on our way from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville. We chose the hotel based on the reviews on this page and the affordable price. The pool area was really nice, but I did not like the rooms at all. The rooms were really small, the sheets were colored dark blue, and combined with... more
