Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As others have experienced, we were welcomed by the owner Mr Kuroda who spent 15 minutes with us and a map recommending restaurants and bars to visit - he has created a 4-axis chart with types of food and relative costs! The staff say “welcome home” when you return from a long day and couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. They literally run to help guests and speak excellent English. We had Theato 3 room which is on the ground floor. I don’t know how it compares to other rooms but I’d say the toilet room is very small and someone with long legs might not be comfortable sitting down! There is something for everyone at breakfast, from western, local and Japanese. The French toast is legendary. It’s a lovely oasis from the bustle of the city and is next to the impressive Vietnamese Embassy. Highly recommend and would happily stay again (we met an American business man who lives there for a month every year!). Thanks to all the lovely staff who made us so welcome.

A perfect hotel. We were greeted by the owner, so helpful and friendly. All of the staff were so kind and friendly, way above anything we have experienced in our extensive travels. The room, just amazing, the pool, fantastic, drinks, food, help with bookings and advice, all spot on. I would fully recommend this hotel and city as a must. Our room was not ready so we were given another room to change and shower as we had just arrived after a very long flight, other hotels could learn a lot from this amazing hotel.

I rarely write reviews to my shame as they are the first thing we look for when we want to book a place. We were so impressed with the Iroha Garden from the minute we arrived. We were welcomed with a nice cool drink before we were shown to our rooms. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need with a great big comfortable bed and fabulous shower. There was a balcony overlooking the pool and complimentary tea coffee and water, along with toiletries The grounds around the pool are covered by lush green trees and plants and the pool is refreshing which is just what you need after the hustle and bustle of the city. It truly is an Oasis. Finally every member of staff was absolutely fantastic. Helpful friendly and amazingly efficient.. nothing was too much trouble and they all made you feel at home. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would definitely choose it again on our next trip and the one after and after and after!

We absolutely adored this place!! We were very saddened to have to leave it. The staff was so friendly, kind, and warm, it felt like we were leaving part of our family behind when we departed. The owner was also a fantastic human being. He greeted us when we arrived, made sure that we had all the information we needed to travel around Phnom Penh and made sure that we were very comfortable. He was around every morning when we had breakfast and would love to chat with all his guests. We very much enjoyed our chats with him. He even insisted on personally seeing us off when we left. When we would go out for the day and come back to the hotel for the evening , the staff would always greet us with a “Welcome home”. Upon arrival we were also greeted with a lovely juice and within a hour a staff member came up with delicious snack and tea. We felt like we were being treated like royalty. The free breakfast was delicious and you were offered a great selection to choose from. The food for dinner offered was delicious and very reasonably priced! The grounds were magnificent and the pool was huge and nice and warm. I could have stayed in there for ever!! The room were also huge and tastefully decorated. I can’t say enough positive things about this amazing oasis in Phnom Penh. Book it if you can!!!

From the moment you walk in though the secluded garden, it’s is an amazing place. A quiet sanctuary in the middle of a busy, hit and sometimes grimy city, iroha is a real gem. The owner (who greeted us and saw us off at 6am a couple of days later) and his staff were spectacular. I’ve never seen such attentiveness and attention to detail in a hotel. On a practical level, the rooms were large, clean and well air conditioned, there was a constant available supply of filtered water, the pool and cabanas were great, and the restaurant was very good. On the last day we had to leave early and we were very grateful that the hotel not only booked a car to the airport but they also provided us with packed breakfasts. I would recommend the hotel very highly.

We received amazing service at this boutique hotel in the centre of Pnomh Penh. My wife had a small accident that required that she go to the hospital and get a few stitches. Not only did she arrange for us to go to the hospital, but she came with us to communicate with the doctor and hospital staff and remained with us until the stitches were complete. She checked on her repeatedly to see how she was doing and arranged for a doctor at our next destination for follow up.

My wife and I were picked up from the river after our 5 hour journey from Chau Doc and we needed a nice friendly hotel after our long trip. We found our Oasis in the friendly boutique hotel Iroha Garden Hotel. We are well traveled and the attention to detail and friendly hospitality was evident immediately. We stayed 2 nights and dined at the hotel both nights as the food was so good. The hotel only had 23 rooms so felt very personal and the staff went out of there way to make your stay pleasurable. We used the pool everyday to cool down after our excursions and relax in the lush garden. We had a Deluxe Balcony Pool Front room overlooking the garden which had good air conditioning and was spacious compared to the other rooms on our trip. We met the Japanese owner everyday and he personally gave recommendations if you wanted to eat out or need any advice , he was very hands on. Finally the charm of this hotel is driven by its friendly staff , who are extremely well trained and naturally helpful. Special mention to Ben , Nov , Chana and the rest of the team. We Highly recommend a stay here , you wont regret it.

A lovely boutique hotel near the centre of the city located in a quiet backwater. Japanese owner is very friendly and welcoming and the staff can’t do enough for you. The room is well appointed overlooking the pool. There are outdoor sitting areas on every floor. Staff will recommend how to get around and where to visit.
