Stayed at the Golden Dragon hotel late September on business. As other reviewers have noted, the biggest minus about this place is its location, particularly for those who are visiting Bishkek for the first time and aren't so familiar with the city. From the outside this looks like an oasis in a desert....modern, clean, gleaming gold trim. And the rooms are certainly clean and new and big. Golden Dragon is one block off a main thoroughfare which has plenty of restaurants and small casinos. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and polite.
