We found this place quite by accident on arriving in Vientiane but sometimes it is accidental finds like this which truly make your stay in a town or city special. Although it felt like we were the first guests to stay here judging by the cleanliness of the rooms, this place just oozed character. The rooms were immaculate and after a couple of weeks backpacking, it was great to stay in such relative luxury without bursting our budget. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The best part about our stay here was the atmosphere created by the family who run it. They are so friendly and welcoming and really made us feel at home and gave us an insight into Laos family life. Sindaphone on reception knows all there is to know about Vientianes night life although some nights we found it hard to tear ourselves away from her entertaining company and our nights out turned into nights in!
