We stayed for a couple of nights and when we came back a week or so later there was no availability. It is a great place which we recommended to a lot of people heading to Vientiane. Room was great, on the very top floor with a communal lounge outside. Room had every facility we could've asked for, fridge, kettle,... More

First we got a room in the second floor but as soon as we entered the room we could hear that it was very noisy. We moved to the top floor where it was more quiet and with more windows. The room itself was clean. It had a fridge a microwave an extra kitchen sink, and a safety locker as... More

I stayed here on a visa run. Stayed 3 nights. Air con, ensuite, clean, tp, water, instant coffee if you like that sort of thing, fridge, dishes, bottled water and water boiler for drinking water, tv, nice local decor. The older woman who runs this place is kind and very helpful. She even suggested reasonable tuktuk rates for bargaining purposes.... More

Stayed for 2 nights recently. Got a double room with no window, mini fridge, kettle, fan, bathroom and TV for only 100,000 kip p/n (~$12.50AUD). Room was modern and looked great at first but soon after we noticed the bathroom sink leaked and the toilet flush was not working properly. Wifi worked flawlessly (however took 5-10 mins for it to... Vientiane is notorious for bad hotels, but this is a reasonably good choice in a good location just half a block from the river. The rooms are clean, with nice wood floors (shoes off downstairs). Clean bathrooms have an actual shower head and good hot water, both rare for mid-range places in Laos. However, not all rooms have a window.... More

I stayed at the Benacom Guesthouse in Vientiane for 6 nights in December 2012. I should start by saying the guesthouse is in a great location - only a 5-minute walk to the riverfront, and only a few minutes walk to places like the Vientiane fountain, the Presidential Palace, or Wat Sisaket. There are countless little restaurants, cafes, bars, and... More

Considering that this guesthouse is in the capital it was pretty good value for money. The rooms were clean although the air a little damp and are equipped with a full size fridge/freezer and a small kitchenette with a kettel as well as a tv and large wardrobe. Nice touches after backpacking for several months. However, the windows didn't lock... More
