This is a nice hotel very close and within walking distance of the main tourist area and Mekong river. It is on a quiet road which means that sleep is not disturbed by noise. Its has nice traditional decoration and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is basic but OK (don't drink the coffee its horrible). Good wifi and nice... More

In another trip to Vientiane, I will try other option. It didn't convince me. Our counterpart in South East Asia reccommended us this hotel which has a good location, I must say. Rooms and the lobby are well appointed. Corridors may be become stuffy because there is no air con. Breakfast is limited. Western options are reduced to eggs and... More

This hotel had everything going for it. Good central location; spacious and comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated; a good breakfast buffet and even a small pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. But, still, it was one of my least favorites. I guess I'm just turned off by marble lobbies and crystal chandeliers. Feels impersonal and a little like a chain.... More

Standard hotel with newly renovated rooms and bathrooms. Stayed in a executive family room, which was large and had a modern and big bathroom (separate shower with massage function & bathtub) Ugly wooden floor Breakfast: went there 10 minutes before closing and nothing was left - service is pretty lousy Would I stay again: no

My family and I stayed here for four nights. The hotel is very attractive to look at and the facilities are good and include a small pool. Rather strangely though it lacks a bar but this doesn't really matter as the Lotus bar right next door is a great little relaxing bar with good food. The room is spacious and... More

Moved here after staying in another hotel in the area which we were unhappy with. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room wasn't massive but was big enough for two and the furniture and linen etc were all of a decent quality. We didn't use the pool but it looked good. Had a few sun loungers and a small... More

I stay here on a regular basis and find it comfortable and reasonably priced, it has a pool but sometimes it is taken over by children who are not staying there and soak everything that you take near the area, great service but agree with some reviews that the sound proofing is poor and the noise starts fairly early, I... In the past two years I stayed here perhaps 20 times or more. The Chanthapanya became my home in Vientiane and I was very happy here, but recently they have upgraded all their Standard rooms to match the Superior spec, and the price of the cheapest rooms has gone up $20 to something near $60, so I cannot afford to... Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and just loved it. Judging from what i've seen around vientiane, I think this is one of the best hotel in the city.
