This hotel is a nice little place on a side street near the Mekong River. It's just up the road from a lot of local eateries and there are loads of restaurants nearby around the Mekong River. The Lao Orchid Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. It is just around the corner from the Mekong, with lots of great restaurants close by. Booked via the contact details on the web and the immediate response was a good sign. Try and grab a room on a high floor as it gives you a better view of the river.
