Lets see....well, they do have hot showers and free breakfast, if you count bread, jam and tea as breakfast. The beds are warped pine slats with a couple of thin pads over them and the dorm rooms are stuff full of beds. The dorm room I stayed in had 4 sets of bunk beds in it with no breathing room.... more

First of all, the guest house responded to my emails very quick. Upon arrival by train I was picked up (for free) and welcomed by the owner. Over the last few years, I have visited Ulaanbaatar several times and have stayed in a number of guesthouses and have done several tours. I can safely say that I enjoyed my time with Khongor guesthouse the most.
