i have stayed there once for 3 days.. the rooms are expansive and is a very old hotel..the location is good. there is no room service after 12 midnight...mobile recharge vouchers are available at reception. all rooms are non smoking and if you need to smoke then you need to step out of the room.

If you want to experience Hell while you're alive, check-in at Janaki Hotel. 'Expect the unexpected' is their motto. No Water, No Towels, and if you feel cold please wear three layers and go to sleep because they don't provide blankets. A word to the owner : Please shut down the hotel.

Stayed one night there and regret it. Reception staff was clueless and unfriendly, rooms dirty and smelly...and words can't describe how bad the breakfast was. Also location isn't the best if you want to get a good feel of the capital so save yourself some money and choose another hotel.

Totally Unclean, unkept and smelly rooms, leaky bathrooms, noisy or non-working A/c broken TV remote......not a place to stay, Restaurant serves horrible food, and was charged LKR500.00 for the free wifi. Changed Rooms three times, but all rooms similar. Breakfast served seemed to be stale. Would NOT RECOMMEND staying at this so called "hotel" for any traveller.
