We stayed at lake lodge for one night. The staff were very good in helping us plan the next leg of our trip, even helping us with a travel agent to come and see us at 10pm! We ate dinner there as we has just arrived of a late flight and the food was very good, as was the breakfast.... More

We had a large group of 10+ people staying at this hotel for 3 days during November 2012. The hotel is modern with spacious rooms and most are reasonably clean. The included breakfast was lovely and water is provided upon request. Junior staff member are very helpful and pleasant to deal with, however this is not the case with management.... More

Thank you for choosing Lake Lodge for your stay at Sri Lanka. This is to inform you that this review was appeared once during December 2012 and the same has been repeated again. In our previous response to the review we have mentioned that, we have attended the complain immediately. In this particular incident the room was occupied by two... More

We stayed here two nights after the longest plane ride EVER from NYC. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean and tidy. The service was really good and everyone there was very accommodating. It was very humid, so the AC was key. The real star of this place though is the food. We had two breakfasts and... More

We arrived quite late in the evening and from the outset the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The chef whipped up a lovely meal and it was just what we needed after a terrible plane meal. The rooms are comfortable, clean and fairly big. The lodge itself is nicely designed, with polished concrete and great artwork. The staff were... More

The hotel is nice, small. You get what you expect. The location is very central, with a lot of activities in the vicinity. So that is all ok. The hotel is well made, to give a homely feel. But there are many like this in Colombo, no big deal. The problem areas: a. There is a big ground next to... More

Dear Guest Thank you for choosing Lake Lodge. I appreciate your good reviews with regard to the hotel. But your main concern is the activities taken place externally, but not with-in the hotel premises. Wesak being the Supreme Religious Festival in the country, Wesak Zone was organized at the adjoining play ground area, as mentioned by you. The blaring music... More

We stayed a total of 3 nights at the Lake Lodge, and absolutely loved the place. Large, comfortable rooms and bathrooms, minimalist decor, and great location near main roads. We stayed in room 8 and paid about 105 USD per night including taxes. Breakfast was included - if you want Sri Lankan fare you must order it the night before.... More

I've stayed here a few times now. It's very different to the Lake Lodge of 10yrs ago. It had a complete renovation a few years ago and is now somewhere between a boutique hotel and a B&B. It's in a very central location and yet set off the main roads, down a little leafy lane. The staff are extremely helpful... More

Our driver recommended this lovely little boutique hotel to us. We stayed one night only. Room was very large with a big TV. Bathroom was very clean. The decor is very modern and a lot of polished concrete is used especially in the bathroom. It is conveniently located within walking distance of Galle Face Green and lots of restaurants nearby.... We spent two days here at the start of our Sri Lanka holiday a few months ago and thought it ranked amongst the nicest places we spent on our travels around the country. We'd arranged pick-up from the airport through the hotel, which worked well and was very trouble-free. This is a beautiful boutique hotel that is very convenient for... More

We had a good 3 nights at this hotel and found it a convenient base for exploring Colombo. We walked to GalleFace Green and eating places nearby. The tuk tuks at the gate will do a basic city tour [Yoga was very knowledgable] to help you get your bearings. The hotel is lovely, relaxing and friendly and the air con... More
